Responsibilities:

Manages and supervises dangerous drugs & dangerous devices business activities of the Warehouse under guidance of the General Manager. Responsible for leading the Warehouse functions while ensuring that all quality and regulatory requirements are met; receiving, storage, inventory control, pick, pack, customer service, purchasing, customer service, P & L, budgeting, safety & security. Coordinate with Sales, Operations Planning, Information Systems and Administration to ensure proper staffing and the ability to handle daily customer demand on a consistent basis.

  • Prepare and implement the functional target and plan based on branch/department target and plan.

  • Directs the efficient and cost-effective lay-out, organization and operation of the warehouse

  • Manages inbound activities related to the receipt and storage of goods, inventory management and claims

  • Manages outbound activities related to order filling, pick pack, stock replenishment and shipping.

  • Responsible for budgeting, customer service, facility and equipment operation.

  • Administers overall inventory management, productivity, accuracy and loss prevention to ensure that customer requirements are met.

  • Ensures the compliance, security and safety of the personnel and facility.

  • Effective communicator, written and verbal with diverse workforce and customer groups.

    Creates and maintains positive work environment for all employees

  • Manage all cargo handling activities within the department

  • Ensure all levels of the department are in compliance with company policies and outside agencies

  • Trains and manages performance of Warehouse employees handling pharma device cargo.



Qualifications:
  • U.S. High School Diploma, Foreign High School Diploma or General Education Equivalency Certificate

  • Minimum of 1-year paid experience in the past three years in a licensed pharmacy or with a drug wholesaler, drug distributor or drug manufacturer, performing duties related to the distribution or dispensing of dangerous drugs or dangerous devices

  • Meet all of the prerequisites to take the examination required for licensure as a pharmacist by the board.

  • Successfully complete a training program approved by the board that, at a minimum, addresses each of the following subjects:

    • Knowledge and understanding of California law and federal law relating to the distribution of dangerous drugs and dangerous devices.

    • Knowledge and understanding of California law and federal law relating to the distribution of controlled substances.

    • Knowledge and understanding of quality control systems.

    • Knowledge and understanding of the United States Pharmacopoeia or federal Food and Drug Administration standards relating to the safe storage, handling, and transport of dangerous drugs and dangerous devices, dangerous drugs and dangerous devices in the third-party logistics provider’s place of business

    • Knowledge and understanding of prescription terminology, abbreviations, dosages and format

  • Successfully complete a Live Scan

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Warehousing/Distribution and/or Business Administration

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years in Logistics Management

  • Ability to obtain and maintain license as a Designated Representative

  • Must be able to demonstrate effective leadership in managing warehouse.

  • Knowledge of material handling, warehouse operations and transportation systems

  • Strong working knowledge of automated inventory control and warehouse management systems.

  • System knowledge



Organization Relationships:


This position will interact with branch colleagues, leadership staff, and office /warehouse personnel. Must be able to work with customers, vendors, and outside organizations.
