General Purpose and Scope of Position:
As a Technical Program Manager at Wilbur Ellis, you will help lead efforts on creating our digital products’ vision and strategy. You will drive the design and development of programs and features amongst key internal and external business partners. Key activities of this role are to research user requirements, design features, and create well-informed user stories and product backlogs to help create a clear view of what is needed for product success.
Key Skills and Abilities Include:
BS. in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
Five years of solid experience building features for a software product or program is a must
Strong product, technology, and customer focus
Passionate about user experience (UX)
Strong communication, organization, and management skills
Excellent people skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
Experience in software development processes and Agile
Experience in collaboration with external technology partners
Key Personal Attributes Include:
Ability to operate effectively both independently as well as within a team
Excellent people skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams
Experience working in a team-oriented environment
Strong communication, organization, and management skills
Excellent people skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
Self-motivated, proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
A desire for learning and growing
Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:
Ensure the solution’s features are designed, planned, managed, and delivered in accordance with agreed work plans and objectives
Manage the implementation of features, coordinate with internal and external resources, and work with cross-functional departments as required
Manage multiple feature projects and/or process improvement initiatives simultaneously (in various stages of implementation)
Understand customer needs, define problem statements research solutions, propose data-driven proposals
Drive technical discussions concerning feature design and implementation
Work with development teams to define implementation details and identify roadblocks before they occur
Discover and articulate technical requirements and dependencies
Ensure that the development and execution of the features are on time and to budget
Accurately document feature designs in Specification Documents, JIRA Stories, and other solutions as appropriate
Attending training sessions and meetings when necessary
Compensation and Benefits:
In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $83,700 to $117,233. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
